How it works

From your certificate to a costed plan in one sitting

  1. Tell us about the home

Your current EPC rating, the walls, loft, heating and windows. Simple multiple choice, with help for anything you're not sure of.

  2. We work out the cheapest route

We rank every upgrade by cost per rating point and stop once you reach C, so you don't pay for work the law doesn't need.

  3. Track it in your dashboard

Tick off each job as it's done, watch your projected score rise, and see your deadlines counting down.

What's in your dashboard

Everything you need to plan the work and budget for it

  • Your upgrades, in order

Cheapest wins first, each with the points it adds and the score you'll be on after it.

  • Realistic cost ranges

Typical UK installer prices for a home of your size, so you can get quotes with confidence.

  • The £10,000 cap check

If reaching C would cost more than the cap, we tell you and explain the exemption route.

  • Grants that may apply

Heat pump grants and council schemes for low-income tenants, matched to your property.

  • Deadline countdowns

The 2029 date to lock in a C under today's rules, and the 2030 legal deadline.

  • All your properties

Plans for up to ten homes, so you can see where each one stands and which to tackle first.

Why now

The rules are confirmed. Two dates matter.

The minimum for rented homes rises from E to C. Installers will get busier as 2030 gets closer, so landlords who plan early pay less and choose their timing.

  • Built for landlords with one to ten homes, managing compliance themselves
  • Covers houses, flats and bungalows of any age
  • Plain English, no jargon, works on your phone
1 Oct2029

Last day to lock in a C under today's method. A C rating lodged before this date counts as compliant until that certificate expires.

1 Oct2030

Every private tenancy must be EPC C. One deadline for new and existing tenancies, with exemptions where the cost passes the cap.

Questions

Before you start

Is this an Energy Performance Certificate?

No. Only an accredited assessor can issue an EPC. We give you an estimated plan so you know which work to do and what to budget, before you book the assessment that proves you've reached C.

What do I need to hand?

Your current EPC rating, which you can look up free on the GOV.UK "Find an energy certificate" service with your postcode. Everything else is questions you can answer from memory or a quick look at the property.

What if getting to C would cost more than £10,000?

Under the confirmed plans, you won't be required to spend more than the cost cap. Your dashboard shows the best work to do within it and explains how to register an exemption.

How accurate are the costs and points?

They're typical ranges based on property type and size. Real quotes vary by area and installer. Points are estimates of how the current EPC method scores each measure.

The final regulations aren't published yet. Is it too early?

The deadline and the C target are confirmed government policy. Details could still be adjusted, and we update every dashboard when they are.

How long until I get my plan?

The questions take about 6 minutes. Your plan appears in your dashboard within an hour of ordering, and stays there until 2030.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If your plan isn't useful, email us within 14 days and we'll refund you in full.
